In addition to my wedding work, I have served as a minister, counselor, chaplain, and seminary instructor. I serve on the board of the World Wisdoms Project, a Colorado nonprofit organization that educates and inspires multi-faith communities through learning programs and exploration of the arts. I have volunteered for a local community kitchen, assisting individuals and families with food and shelter. I worked as a community educator in the field of palliative care, working with Life Quality Institute to assist those with serious illnesses to receive physical and emotional support. I participate in a Colorado wedding association, networking with other wedding professionals. And I served for many years on the Board of the Embrace Foundation, an affordable housing program that fosters meaningful, balanced relationships in low-income communities. My bachelor's degree is in journalism/public relations and, before attending seminary and going into ministry, I worked in corporate communications, utilizing my public speaking, writing, and PR skills. I bike and play pickle ball, and I'm a sucker for live theater and big-production musicals like Hamilton, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, La La Land, and The Greatest Showman. I enjoy photography and hiking in our beautiful Rocky Mountains. And I always find time for moments of soul-renewing silence. In this way, I feel that I'm always prepared to be fully present with my wedding couples, and to do the work I love.
My many years of experience in writing and designing ceremonies have given me skills and insight in staging ceremonies. I’ve spoken to hundreds of audiences, have degrees in communications and theology, and am ordained by a church (rather than getting “licensed” online). Let's get acquainted! Drop me a note at [email protected]. Thank you!
